About the Council
The United Sorority & Fraternity Council was founded on the campus of San Diego State University September 24th, 1997. The council is comprised of various cultural-based sororities and fraternities on campus. Its existence is to provide a governing council for its respective organizations and promote unity and respect among themselves, the university, and the community.
The USFC council is comprised of 15 officially recognized sororities and fraternities. There are 4 Asian American organizations, 6 Latinx, and 5 multicultural. All organizations are committed to the enrichment of the college experience by instilling values of academics, community service, culture, sisterhood/brotherhood, and leadership. The Council holds a 9 member board including President, Vice President, Treasurer, Judicial Director, Scholarship Director, Recruitment Director, Communications Director, & Community Wellness Director.
